Impact
- Improve adoption by designing around real operating conditions.
- Clarify when humans decide, when automation assists, and how evidence is reviewed.
- Reduce friction, cognitive load, and avoidable process failure.
What you'll do
- Conduct workflow studies, interviews, task analysis, and usability research.
- Map roles, handoffs, decision points, failure modes, and information needs.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to improve workflows.
- Document recommendations and validate designs with users.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of human factors, UX research, service design, operations, or workflow design experience.
- Experience with complex operational, enterprise, or high-stakes environments.
- Strong research synthesis and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret security clearance.
- Comfort working with ambiguous mission, data, and engineering problems.
- Strong written communication and ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred experience
- AWS experience is a plus, especially secure cloud, GovCloud, serverless, data, or AI services.
- AI, machine learning, LLM, agentic workflow, or decision intelligence experience is a plus.
- Experience in defense, government, manufacturing, aerospace, logistics, or other mission-critical environments is a plus.
