Data Platform Architect

Define the architecture for secure data platforms that support analytics, AI, and operational workflows.

Impact

  • Shape how data is ingested, modeled, governed, served, and observed.
  • Create platform patterns that support multiple products and domains.
  • Improve trust in data used for high-impact decisions.

What you'll do

  • Design data lake, warehouse, lakehouse, streaming, catalog, and governance architectures.
  • Guide tradeoffs across performance, cost, security, and usability.
  • Partner with data engineers, scientists, and application teams.
  • Create reference patterns for ingestion, quality, lineage, and access control.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of data platform, data architecture, or data engineering experience.
  • Experience designing production data platforms at meaningful scale.
  • Strong understanding of governance, lineage, security, and data modeling.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Comfort working with ambiguous mission, data, and engineering problems.
  • Strong written communication and ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred experience

  • AWS experience is a plus, especially secure cloud, GovCloud, serverless, data, or AI services.
  • AI, machine learning, LLM, agentic workflow, or decision intelligence experience is a plus.
  • Experience in defense, government, manufacturing, aerospace, logistics, or other mission-critical environments is a plus.
